About The Ferries / The Strand

The Ferries and the Strand form Sliema's bustling seafront core, the busiest retail-and-dining strip in Malta, wrapped around the ferry landing that shuttles to Valletta and Comino. Tower Road's promenade, Bisazza Street's shops and a wall of cafés and restaurants make it the island's most convenient address, with sea-view apartments rising above. For investors it is Malta's most liquid rental market: deep, year-round demand from iGaming and finance expats, students and short-stay tourists, with the ferry and bus hub at the door. Yields (~4–5%) edge above prestige Valletta and Tigné Point thanks to slightly lower entry prices. Note ownership rules, most seafront stock outside the Special Designated Areas requires a non-resident AIP permit (one property), while newer SDA blocks are permit-free.
