Tanjung Rhu

Tanjung Rhu lies at Langkawi’s northeastern tip, a secluded bay framed by casuarina trees, powdery white sand and dramatic limestone karst rising from the sea. Only about 450 metres of beach is public; the rest is shared by the Four Seasons Resort and Tanjung Rhu Resort. It is the launch point for Kilim Karst Geoforest Park’s mangrove tours, eagle-watching, crocodile caves and kayaking, and at low tide hidden sandbars let visitors walk between islets. For investors, Tanjung Rhu offers eco-luxury seclusion that supports premium retreat-rental rates for branded villas and luxury residences. But like Datai Bay, it is isolated, inventory is scarce, and resale is among the slowest on the island. The cautions are the familiar Langkawi structural set, illiquidity, seasonality and dependence on high-end and domestic tourism, amplified by remoteness. This is a lifestyle and prestige hold where yield is secondary; foreign buyers must exceed the state minimum-price threshold and secure state consent.
